Motcombe Bowls Club Centenery

In 1910, when Motcombe Gardens Bowls Club opened, only men were allowed to play. Ladies were eventually invited to join the club in 1999 and the club was successful in achieving funding for a new pavilion. It was opened by the Mayor of Eastbourne in 2000 and blessed by the Bishop of Lewes.

In 2010 the club celebrated its centenery. Most members dressed up in Edwardian clothes and somehow managed to play a bowls game!

The club is always looking for new members. If you are interested in visiting or to enquire about joining, contact Graham Barnard on 01323 763326 or visit our website www.motcombegardensbowlsclub.co.uk
