By foot
The Redoubt Fortress is situated on Royal Parade and is half a mile east of Eastbourne Pier.

By Bus
Buses 1, 1A, IX, the Loop, and 55 all stop on Seaside Road and Bus 99 stops on Royal Parade.

Parking
On-street and Pay & Display parking is available
There are 3 disabled parking bays on Royal Parade.

Access

Southern Mobility Stair Climber at the Redoubt Fortress

From Royal Parade:via slope to the gun platform, then steps down to the museum.

From the seafront: via steps down into the parade ground and museum.

The Redoubt also now has a Stair Climber on loan from

Southern Mobility that provides access to the parade ground and museum from the seafront steps for wheel chair users. Please call the Redoubt Fortress on 01323 410300 to check availability as the Stair Climber is not always on site.

Groups welcome - discounts available for groups of 10+, a 10 minute introductory talk to the fortress and its collections is available for pre-booked groups of 10 or more on request. Please call the Redoubt Fortress on 01323 410300 for bookings.
