Jail Break at the Redoubt Fortress
Saturday 16 May 2009
24 hours…no money…no transport….how far can you get?
Teams are challenged to get as far away as possible from the starting point, the historic Redoubt Fortress in Eastbourne, in 24 hours without using their own money or transport, or that of their friends and family. Teams can be made up of a minimum of two people and you can be as inventive and resourceful as you like when it comes to the method of transport, provided it is safe and legal.
A selection of prizes are up for grabs; for the team that reaches the furthest destination, the team that uses the most unusual form of transport to get to their destination, the team that raises the most sponsorship money, and the individual that raises the most. BBC South East news presenter Beverley Thompson will present the prizes to winners at a special ceremony at Martello Beach caravan park in Pevensey Bay in June.
The RNLI has teamed up with three other local charities, Sussex Autistic Community Trust, Eastbourne and South Wealden MS Society, and Sussex Air Ambulance for this fundraising event and if you are interested in finding out more information please contact Lou Purdy on 01825 761466 or e-mail lpurdy@rnli.org.uk . |
