The Royal Sussex Regimental Collection

The Royal Sussex Regimental collection reflects the distinguished history of our local regiment. Raised in 1701, the Royal Sussex recruited men locally to fight all over the world. The displays of uniforms, badges, weapons, drums and extensive collection of medals document the campaigns, traditions and past times of the regiment.

The Queen's Royal Irish Hussars Regimental Collection

The Hussars collection celebrates the history of two of the most famous cavalry regiments - The 4th Queen's Own Hussars and The 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars. Amongst the displays are artefacts from some of the worlds most famous battles including a Russian bugle rescued from the ill-fated Charge of the Light Brigade and a Desert Rat uniform worn at the Battle of El Alamein in 1942.
